Day 7: Goals + Progress
Main focus today: Article
1. Hr 1: Continue with my theoretical approach section for the article.
2. Hr 2: Continue writing my analysis for the article.
3. Hr 3: I am giving myself the choice to do either deep work or shallow work for this third hour.
I received books from the interlibrary loan today so I am excited to continue working (reading the new books) after lunch.
Progress:
I do feel like I've reached a plateau today, and I realize that this happens after a productive day of writing like yesterday. Every time I have a good writing session, the next is one is always not as good. I still wrote today, but I also felt very low on energy. The good thing is I've received the books that I was waiting for, so I am going to refocus my energy on that and let myself take a break from writing now. I hope tomorrow will be a better day.
I really like how you break each hour down to do different tasks. It makes the process manageable, and the results are easier to see. I totally relate to you reaching a plateau too. For me, I usually just do other mindless tasks like bibliography or images when that happens :) Hope you have a great writing day today!
ReplyDeleteThere is no way to always keep productive. Take a break and reenergize yourself! Don't forget I am always here.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed reading your new books. There is nothing more exciting for me than starting to read a brand new novel. This week I started the Chilean Poet, a funny novel translated into English about a mediocre poet in Santiago who is in love with his teen sweetheart but also with her son from another guy. It is so fun.
